Psalm series

Written in Hymn style for the congregation with SATB parts included and piano reduction.

"The Psalm Series" shares the prayerful cries for deliverance in cohesion with the praising call of the Psalmist. The text of each Psalm was inspired by the main verses and points in each Psalm of David. It focuses on the attributes of God compared to the character of His creation. The pieces of the series bind together through text, melodic patterns, harmonic progressions, imperfect cadences, syncopated patterns, and themes, creating a musical flow to the series. The series contains two parts: the prayers (Psalm 140-144) and the praises (Psalm 145-149). Throughout each piece, the prayers and praises of the Psalmist are woven together, musically pictured through the subject melody woven with the countersubject.
