PSALM 143: "Hear My Prayer"
Hear my prayer
Give ear to my call.
My soul thirst for Thee,
Lift me when I fall.
My mind is focused on Your truths
In darkness, I cry to You.
Hear my prayer,
Lord, teach me Your will.
O, Thou art my God,
Abide with me still.
My ears are open to Your truths.
In morning, I cry to You.
Hear my prayer,
Deliver my soul.
My flesh is weak,
O Lord, take control.
My heart inclines to known Your truths.
In the dawn I cry to You.
"Hear my Prayer" is a call towards the Divine, unhindered by the time of day- darkness, morning, or dawn. The major chord timbre shows the hope and trust in the Psalmist's prayers being heard and answered in God's Divine plan. The melody passes in a pattern from the tonic, 5th, to the 3rd of the diatonic chords. The created pattern pictures a rising and setting sun with the constant praying of the Psalmist from dawn to darkness.
