“Good Morning, God” was written as a welcoming song for children’s ministry work. It shares the truth that we wake up each day knowing God has given each moment to us. Living is a blessing. Living is a new day to learn. Living is a reason to praise Him. The text shares the excitement of being able to learn and grow in Sunday school.
Background of the origin:
I was asked by a Sunday school teacher to write a welcome piece for her grade 1 Sunday school class. After singing the finished piece for her class, The piece circulated AMONGst the sunday schools the next sunday. some teachers heard the song from my social media and taught their class. Others were asked to learn the song through the older siblings of those who first heard it. Now, this piece became the “Welcome Song” for the sunday school classes in my church.
